Verdant — Blockchain Carbon Credit Marketplace

A group hackathon project building a marketplace for issuing and trading carbon credits on-chain. I developed Verdant's carbon credit issuance and marketplace smart contracts in Solidity, deployed on the Avalanche testnet to enable on-chain buying and selling of issued credits, and worked on how they interact with the backend. My teammates built a LINZ-integrated carbon estimation API, a React and Vite frontend, and a Django backend handling marketplace listings and wallet interactions. The project placed 3rd at the Web3 NZ Hackathon in Christchurch. It's no longer deployed.
