About.
Maths & CS graduate from the University of Canterbury, currently partway through a Master of AI.
Background
I'm Quinn Le Lievre. I graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2025 with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, placing 1st in Computer Science and receiving several scholarships along the way. I'm now partway through a Master of AI there, due to finish in mid-2027. Since February 2025 I've also been tutoring computer science at UC, covering COSC131/121 (Introduction to Programming in Python), COSC261 (Formal Languages and Compilers), and COSC265 (Relational Database Systems).
Focus
What I like is solving concrete technical problems across different layers of the stack — that's the throughline across the projects here: verifying game state on a blockchain, tracking a gymnast's pose through video frame by frame, managing threads and memory in a voxel engine, writing tessellation shaders for GPU terrain, and now reconstructing 3D volumes from CT scans with neural fields. Different domains, same instinct — dig into how something actually works and build it from first principles.

Outside of code
I competed in gymnastics at a national level for years (and judged it for a while), and these days I'm into bouldering and social football. I also enjoy music and hold LTCL and ATCL piano performance diplomas from Trinity College London, alongside an Associate Diploma in Public Speaking and Communication Performance from Speech New Zealand.
